The tech behind your agents — in plain English

You'll hear these terms around AI. Here's what each one actually means, and how we use it to make your business run smoother — no computer-science degree required.

LLM — the engine

A large language model is the raw brain: it reads and writes like a person. Everything below is how we organize that brain so it works for your business instead of just chatting.

Think of it like this

A brilliant new hire who's read almost everything but has never seen your business. Every framework below is how we get it up to speed on you.

MoA — a team, not a loner

Mixture of Agents: instead of one AI doing everything, a team of specialists — a writer, a checker, a scheduler — pass work between each other and check each other's answers. Fewer mistakes, better results.

Like a real team

One agent drafts the reply, another checks it against your policies, a third schedules it — the same review chain a good manager would run, every single time.

MoE — only the right experts wake up

Mixture of Experts: one big brain with specialist regions inside. When a question comes in, only the relevant experts switch on. That's why modern AI is fast and affordable at the same time.

Why this saves you money

A simple "what are your hours" question doesn't fire the same heavyweight reasoning as a complex quote — the system spends compute only where the question actually needs it.

Second brain (RAG)

Before answering, your AI looks things up in your documents — your prices, your policies, your past jobs. So it answers like someone who's worked at your company for years.

Same idea as the vault below

This is the engine behind your knowledge vault — every guide, price sheet and past job becomes something your AI can actually look up before it answers.

Agents & tools — AI that does

Talking is nice; doing is better. Our agents can book the appointment, send the reminder, update the sheet and chase the review — real actions in your real tools, with your approval rules.

You set the guardrails

You decide what needs your sign-off and what runs on its own — an agent never touches money or sends an outward message without the approval rule you set.

Smart routing — why it stays affordable

Easy jobs go to fast, cheap models; hard jobs go to the heavyweights. You get top-tier quality where it matters without paying top-tier prices for every little task.

The same rule we run on

This is literally how the 19-agent UseTalos fleet keeps its own costs down — we're not describing a concept, we're describing our own daily operations.
